Major Problems of Karachi Essay
Karachi is the largest city in Pakistan and the most populous city in the world with a population of over 23 million people. Despite its size and importance, Karachi faces numerous problems which have been growing over time. This essay will look at some of the major problems facing Karachi and discuss potential solution.
Crime: Crime is one of the most pressing issues facing Karachi today and it has been steadily increasing over the years. Common crimes include burglary, kidnapping, extortion, and robbery. Lack of policing resources and corruption are contributing factors to this problem. To address this issue, increased security measures should be put in place along with greater investment into police training and equipment. The government should also work to increase transparency and reduce corruption within law enforcement agencies so that criminals can be held accountable for their actions.
Traffic Congestion: Traffic congestion is another major problem in Karachi as there are not enough roads or public transport infrastructure available to accommodate all of its residents. The traffic situation has become especially bad during peak hours when roads become clogged with vehicles.
